Stranger Things Producer, Marvel Star Gemma Chan Team Up For Time Travel Series at Netflix

Director Shawn Levy of Deadpool 3 and Eternals star Gemma Chan are collaborating on a brand-new genre project. The Hollywood Reporter reported on Thursday that Netflix and Levy's 21 Laps are creating The Moon Represents My Heart, a miniseries that will be based on the upcoming first novel by Pim Wangtechawat with the same name. The total arrangement that 21 Laps has with the streamer includes this limited series in addition to other popular shows like Stranger Things now on the air. Chan is anticipated to executive produce and appear in the television series, which centres on a British-Chinese family that has a hidden time-travel capability. After the parents disappear, their son and daughter continue to look for them as they grow older and become adults.

The Moon Represents My Heart through 21 Laps will be executive produced by Levy and Josh Barry, and the undertaking will be managed by manager Moera Ainai and senior VP Emily Morris of the company.

Chan, whose career also features Humans and Crazy Rich Asians, has recently established himself as a regular character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after first playing Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel and then Sersi in the Eternals movie from a year ago. Chan has stated that she will return as Sersi and has expressed her enthusiasm about technically being in the franchise twice, even though a straight sequel to Eternals has not been announced in the months afterwards.

Chan told Coup de Main Magazine, "I am really blessed in that this is my second time; I feel very fortunate. "I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of this movie and among such a phenomenal, brilliant ensemble, since it was a surprise to me as much as it was to everyone else. I certainly didn't anticipate returning. When I was promoting Crazy Rich Asians, I ran into Kevin Feige on the awards circuit. He just walked up to me and said, "Oh, we enjoyed your work in the picture, and we would love to have you back." I simply assumed he was being kind. Who knows if it will ever happen, I wondered. You never know, but perhaps in the far future. I didn't anticipate getting the call. I finished the Sersi screen test somewhat late in the game. I was completely unprepared for it, yet I was overjoyed to receive the call. Before I joined, I was a fan of the MCU, but I never imagined I'd be a part of it twice."

Ms. Marvel Episode 4 Reveals Tie to She-Hulk

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen some significant changes this year, both on the big screen and in the original series on Disney+. The most recent example of this is Ms. Marvel, a live-action television series that depicts Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and her universe. The programme has had the chance to incorporate some interesting Easter eggs and MCU references because Kamala is such a big fan of other superheroes, including one that is really for the upcoming She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Disney+ series. The members of Clan Destine are briefly seen in Ms. Marvel episode 4 after being captured by the Department of Damage Control following their highly visible superhero brawl with Kamala during her brother's wedding. It is revealed that the Clan Destine are being confined inside the D.O.D.C. SuperMax Prison, which had been teased to appear in She-Hulk and may serve as the residence of the imprisoned Emil Blonsky, until they manage to escape their containment and locate Kamala in Pakistan.

Since it was first established in the She-Hulk run by Dan Slott and Paul Pelletier in 2004, the distinctive external design of the SuperMax Prison really has connections to the She-Hulk comics. The structure, known in those comics as "The Big House" or the Pym Experimental Penitentiary, employs Pym particle technology to reduce inmates to an absurdly small size while they are serving their sentences. The similarities between the two episodes are nonetheless intriguing even though it appears that the Damage Control version in the MCU does not use the same technology because it would have complicated the Clan Destine's seeming simplicity in escaping.

As Jennifer Walters, a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered behemoth, navigates the challenging world of a single 30-something attorney, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows her journey. Numerous MCU veterans, including Benedict Wong as Wong, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, will appear in the nine-episode series. Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass, and Renée Elise Goldsberry are also featured in the cast. Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kat Coiro, and Jessica Gao are executive producers. Jennifer Booth and Wendy Jacobson share the role of executive producer.
